Plan your day around the number of amazing displays and encounters to be had at the zoo. The whole family will enjoy learning about how the zoo helps keep animals safe both in the wild and in captivity, with a chance to quiz the keepers, too.

Named by the Sunday Times as one of Britain’s best days out, this medieval festival is not to be missed. The Colchester Medieval Festival & Oyster Fayre Market is an authentic medieval fayre with period entertainment including falconry, armed combat, archery, puppetry, storytelling, music and dance. A fantastic day out with a little something on offer for everyone.
